Developed for large monitors.
The Q-Riser 50 is exclusively developed for large flatscreens. These days people prefer bigger screens. But not just screens are becoming bigger, also the stands of the monitors itself are getting increasingly larger. This trend for bigger screens will continue. During the development and design for the Q-Riser 50, the size of the display was considered. Therefore, we created a monitor stand, which is stable, has an appropriate surface size with 372 mm x 281 mm, and at the same time is just high enough with 53 mm, to bring the big screen in the right, ergonomic viewing height.
Ergonomic background
Distance between your eyes and the screen should be 50-80 cm (approximately an arm length), depending on monitor size and resolution. Adjust the distance of your screen (source: VGB DGUV Information 215-410, 2019, S. 93.).
The angle of your line of vision to the middle of the screen should be approximately -35°, so also adjust the height of your screen (source: VGB DGUV Information 215-410, 2019, S.46.).
Ergonomic viewing height.
The Q-Riser 50 is just high enough to raise your large flatscreen to the correct, ergonomic height. Place your screen on this monitor stand, check if your eye level is just below the top of the monitor, and simply adjust the distance. After making these small adjustments, you will immediately notice that your posture improves. You can prevent strain on the muscles in your neck and shoulders, and your sitting position is more comfortable.
Adjust your monitor screen to the correct height, angle, and distance so that you automatically adopt an ergonomically correct posture.
An optimised monitor position works a lot more comfortably and increases productivity by 10% compared with poor placement (Sommerich et al., 1998).
Resource-efficient acrylic.
The acrylic for this document holder is produced from 100 % recycled materials. Instead of synthetic monomer, 100 % recycled methyl methacrylate monomer is used. This sustainable acrylic can in turn be 100 % recycled and increases therefore the life-cycle of cast acrylic. In addition, the use of raw materials- and the carbon foot-print from sheet production is reduced. This product makes a positive contribution to the environment.
